Explore Sunnmøre
Sykkylven sits at the heart of Sunnmøre. Hundeidvik marks the entrance to Hjørundfjorden, from where ferries carry you to Standal and onwards to the roadless settlement of Trandal. We'd suggest a visit to the idyllic Christian Gaard Bygdetun, where blues, rock and country festivals take place each summer. From Sykkylven, day trips lead to Geiranger in Stranda, Trollstigen in Rauma, the peaks of Tafjordfjella in Fjord, Runde in Herøy and the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund.
